A diverse collection of Dali sculptures, oil, and other works. The current exhibition successfully communicates Dali's influences of Impressionism and cubism. Also, his themes of human sexuality, scientific exploration, and challenging dimensional conventions are each presented. Worth the trip, if you're already this far north!
Should be extended and it is nice location
I stopped by after Goshikinuma. The garden was spacious and beautiful and I was impressed. There was also a coffee shop.It was late to go and the museum was closed, but the garden alone is worth the visit.
It is a museum in a beautiful place with beautiful nature and a small stream. Dali's work is wonderful. I like the atmosphere.Nearby burgers such as Inawashiro, Goshikinuma and Hero Diners are also recommended, as they are exquisite.
This is a museum in Urabandai, Fukushima Prefecture. Salvador Dali collection is famous. About 40 minutes from Inawashiro Station It takes about an hour from Kitakata Station. In the deep forest, there is a pond in the front yard and the museum over the pond is wonderful. It is the 20th anniversary of the opening of the museum, but it is well maintained including the garden and is beautiful. This time, in collaboration with Dali and contemporary artists, an exhibition titled “From Dali to the Present in Search of Four-Dimensions†was held. When I visited, there was an event that I saw while discussing with a curator. There are 3 curators and guests including me. It was a little fun.Dari's “dance†was really good with this feeling. Dali felt that the basic drawings were well made and the composition was considered. The sculpture was enjoyable and fun enough.I wanted to see a little more Dali oil works. Mano ☆ -1
The only Dali permanent museum in Asia. Art works collected by the founder of XEBIO, a sports equipment store, and art museums, buildings, etc. It seems to have been made with the intention of “I want you to do itâ€. I like Dari's work very much and I am glad to see a lot. The site is also very beautiful. You can also see Mt. Bandai beautifully. Although the exhibition room in the hall cannot be taken at all, it is a little disappointing, but I think it is a wonderful museum.
A very nice museum if you want to see art of Dali. I personally am not a major museum otaku/fan but I really enjoyed this place. It's in the middle of Fukushima, and in the outskirts, but the scenery outside is beautiful also.
good place to have a hiking to see the beautiful scene of lake but not in winter season because the route is now cover with snow. I see somebody ride on a small boat to have a lake around which is fantastic.
Great little gallery dedicated to Salvador Dali set in beautiful, dreamlike grounds.
Nice place.
I went by car from Tokyo. It took about 30 minutes from Bandai Kogen Inawashiro IC.Continue up National Route 459 and you will find it along the road. The road was very easy to understand. It was my first time to see Salvador DalÃ's work, but I was very impressed to see many sculptures. The other artists' works were all wonderful. Not only in the hall, but also outside, it feels good with a very beautiful scenery,It was a wonderful place. The only sightseeing in Fukushima Prefecture was this museum, but it is worth visiting for the museum alone! Please be aware that it will begin winter holidays from November 25th.
Very good🎵
Aside from it's heavenly park and the awesome architecture of the building, this museum features mainly surrealist artworks of the Spanish artist Salvador Dali.
Exterior was really amazing. Looks modern. PJ Crook’s exhibition was good. It has this 3D effect. I love it.
Such a hidden gem, this museum!! I absolutely loved it, pretty lakes to stop by and walk around in the area as well. Definitely recommend the trip.
Salvador Dali, Picasso, Matisse in rural Fukushima. Beautiful architecture and an amazing collection of Dali. Special exhibits that come in from world-class museums all over the world. And it’s located in a beautiful area of Fukushima prefecture near the five colored lakes hiking area. Their coffee shop also makes a mean cup of coffee.
BEAUTIFUL GARDEN.
Very nice the Morohashi, Salvator Dalì Museum, the building is new and great in a great park. The Dalì collection is impressive, many big bronze pieces, few painting and many drawings and prints. Is the third Salvator Dalì collection in the world! Is remarkable the collection of other artists such, Renoire, Picasso, Van Dongen (my favorite), Chagal, Monet. Photography inside is forbidden, shame! Why? Little cafe and cakes, and shop. Reachable by train and bus (other than car). Great surroundings lake Inawashiro and Mount Bandai.
The museum is amazingly beautiful and is easy to access to. The building is large unfortunately only the first floor is opened for exhibition. Still there are plenty paintings and sculptures by Dali which are very worthy to see. Make sure to check and confirm the exact date of the open season though. I have planned my trip since Nov 2018. At that time when I checked its website it stated it’s closed from Dec to Apr, and it wasn’t until the late Feb 2019 the website confirmed that it would be reopened from Apr 20 to Nov 24 in 2019.
Morohashi Kindai art museum has a beautiful exposition of sculptures and paintings by Salvador Dali. Very worth the drive. Very attentive staff and adorable coffee shop.
Looks like a castle from the outside which makes it seem out of place in the super-ã‚ã£ã¡ã‚ƒ-田舎 of Japan. They have a small collection compared to what I'm used to but you'll love it if you're at all interested in DalÃ.
